Our speciality
Bay window curtain tracks, bent to fit
Bays are where most curtain tracks go wrong. We measure every angle, bend the track to your bay rather than an off-the-shelf shape, and fix it so heavy curtains run round each corner without catching.

Why bays need a specialist
A straight window forgives a lot. A bay does not. If a bend sits a few centimetres out, the curtain stacks in the wrong place and blocks the light. If the brackets go into the wrong part of the ceiling, the track sags in the middle within a year. If the gliders are the wrong type, they catch on every bend.
We have been fitting bay window tracks across London and the South East for over twenty years, in Victorian and Edwardian terraces, 1930s semis, mansion flats and new builds. Most of our bay work comes from homeowners who have tried a kit track first.
Every kind of bay
- Angled bays with three or five sides, the classic London and Hertfordshire bay.
- Square bays with two tight 90° corners.
- Bow and curved bays, where the track follows a continuous radius.
- Corner windows and windows that wrap round two walls.
- Ceiling-fixed or face-fixed, depending on your cornice, coving and window head.
How we measure a bay
At the survey we measure each section of the bay and the angle at each corner, then mark where the bends need to fall so the curtains stack neatly against the walls rather than across the glass. We also check what the fixings will go into. Lath and plaster, plasterboard, concrete lintels and steel all need different fixings, and this is where most failed tracks fail.
Bay tracks can be hand-drawn, corded or motorised, and most work with wave or pinch-pleat headings. For heavy interlined curtains we fit metal bay tracks made for the weight.
Bay window curtain tracks: common questions
Can you fit a curtain pole in a bay window instead of a track?
Yes. Bay poles with corner joints are available and suit some rooms. A track usually gives a smoother run and lets the curtains pass the corners, while a pole needs passing brackets for that. We'll show you both at the survey.
Will my curtains catch on the bends?
Not if the track is bent to the right radius and fitted with the right gliders. Catching is almost always a sign of a kit track forced into a shape it wasn't made for.
Can you fit into an old lath and plaster ceiling?
Yes. We find the joists where we can and use fixings that spread the load where we can't. We check the ceiling at the survey before we recommend ceiling fixing.
Can you motorise a bay window track?
Many motorised systems can be bent to follow a bay. Whether yours can depends on the angles and the curtain weight, so we confirm it at the survey.
